It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? #1

Since I’ve seen Magen’s It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? posts at Corry the Book Crazed Girl so many times before, I thought I’d also share with you what I’m currently reading from time to time, because I always enjoy hearing about what you guys are reading too.

So here’s my first It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? post!

It's Monday 2

Welcome to It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

 Here’s what I’m reading:

“One thing my mother never knew, and would disapprove of most of all, was that I watched the Garretts. All the time.”The Garretts are everything the Reeds are not. Loud, messy, affectionate. And every day from her rooftop perch, Samantha Reed wishes she was one of them . . . until one summer evening, Jase Garrett climbs up next to her and changes everything. As the two fall fiercely for each other, stumbling through the awkwardness and awesomeness of first love, Jase’s family embraces Samantha – even as she keeps him a secret from her own. Then something unthinkable happens, and the bottom drops out of Samantha’s world. She’s suddenly faced with an impossible decision. Which perfect family will save her? Or is it time she saved herself?A transporting debut about family, friendship, first romance, and how to be true to one person you love without betraying another.

So far, I really enjoy this book as it’s cute and the romance is just to my liking!

  1. I’m currently reading Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins. I know I’m probably YEARS too late with starting this book but I just have this thing for YA contemporaries atm 🙂 and I hope you enjoy My life Next Door…I LOVED this book! Probably one of the cutest contemporary book I ever read!

    1. I think I read it last year, so you’re definitely not the only one who’s read it late. It’s a great book, but I think I liked ‘Lola’ a little bit more. Need to buy Isla soon.

Yeah, My Life Next Door is cute, but I have some issues with it.

      1. I don’t think I will review it, since I have so many books that I need to review first. But all I can say is that I hated Sam’s mom, her so called egoistic best friend Nan and in general, the whole setting and plot of the book. The only things I liked about it were Sam and Jase and their cute romance. If it hadn’t been for them, the whole book wouldn’t have been worth reading. But that’s just my opinion 🙂

    1. Yeah, it gets so much better. One of my favorite books as you know. And that ending. Wow. I need to buy the sequel soon 🙂 Happy reading!

    2. Just saw on Instagram that you were a little disappointed. Sorry to hear that. I think it’s an awesome book, especially because of the paranormal twist the story took towards the ending and I cannot wait to see what will happen in the sequels.

    1. Yeah, I love to see what you and the other book bloggers I follow are currently reading.

I did enjoy My Life Next Door, but as I mentioned in one of the comments above, I also had many issues with it and I enjoyed the author’s second book a lot more.

  3. It’s Monday is such a quick post, but so useful! I like seeing what other people are currently reading, I don’t really know why, but I do! I picked this book up a few weeks ago, but still haven’t gotten around to it yet! Glad to see that you’re enjoying it (:
